• What areas do you go to?

I photograph homes in Washington DC, Montgomery County, MD and all areas in Northern Virginia inside the Beltway, as well as Loudoun and Fairfax counties.

  • How long does a shoot take?

It depends on the complexity of the home. The darker the interior, the longer it takes because I will need to use more flashes. As a general rule, however, a condo takes about an hour, a townhouse takes up to 2 hours, and a SFH takes between 1.5 and 2.5 hours.

  • When do I get the pictures and the tour?

You will get the pictures the evening of the day of the shoot.

  • Do you use HDR or Fusion photography?

No. I use traditional interior photography techniques -- balancing exterior and interior light using multiple flash units and reflectors where necessary. I believe that HDR/Fusion can create an unrealistic and artificial image, which often leads to confused and disappointed potential buyers.

  • Do you use multiple photographers?

No, Peter Evans Photography is just me -- Peter Evans. This means that when you hire me, you are always guaranteed consistent first-class photography.

  • At what resolution do you send the pictures?

You will receive two emails. One email will have the pictures at high resolution for your printed material (brochures, etc.). The other email will have the pictures at medium resolution for your internet marketing (MRIS and Zillow, etc.).

  • Do you produce printed marketing material?

I don't produce printed marketing materials but I highly recommend My Marketing Matters who are based locally and produce excellent work.
